Individuals with a spirit for adventure travel.
Our ambassadors exemplify what it means to live and breath adventure. They test our products to the limit in the most remote parts of the world and bring back valuable experience we can implement. They are gracious stewards of our planet and inspire Grayl to grow and change.
PHOTOGRAPHER, ACTIVIST, ADVENTURER
JACKSON GROVES
Every time Jackson embarks on a world adventure he collects one bag full of trash. It’s his small way of saying thanks to mother nature. He's traveled the world taking beautiful photographs and cleaning up the place. He's the founder of Adventure Bag Crew a movement to empower people to make a small effort and pick up a bag of trash while they explore the natural world. We see Jackson as a leader inspiring youth to have a heart for the planet and make sustainable choices that guide their life decisions.
CONSERVATIONIST, TOUR LEADER/OPERATOR
CHRIS LININGER
After discovering long ago that his natural habitat is in the mountains, Chris decided to pursue his mud and snow-covered path as a long-distance hiker, photographer, conservationist, and adventure tour operator at Epic Backpacker Tours; a small adventure tour company offering trips to off the beaten path destinations. Currently, Chris spends a majority of the year traveling and leading trips in the Karakoram range in Pakistan, at the threat of overdosing on rice, roti, and sweet chai. When he is not on the road (and most of the time when he is), Chris also writes full time for the Broke Backpacker adventure travel blog.
SURVIVAL EXPERT, INSTRUCTOR, AUTHOR
DAVE CANTERBURY
Dave, one of GRAYL's most ardent longtime supporters, is a survival expert and co-owner of The Pathfinder School, the United States' Premier School for Self Reliance. He's appeared on the cover of Backwoodsman Magazine, and Bushcraft and Survival Skills in the UK and his book BushCraft 101 is a two-time New York Times best seller.
ADVENTURER, SURVIVALIST, KNIVE DESIGNER
ALEX WANDER
Co-Founder of Wandertactical Knife Company, Alex knows very well the importance of having the right gear during his adventures.
PHOTOGRAPHER
KYLE MURPHY
A tireless adventure photographer, Kyle lives full time on the open road in his fully restored '55 Airstream and is always game for any adventure or assignment we throw at him. Time and time again, Kyle's mechanical sensibilities and outdoor skills prove indispensable as he gets our team out of precarious situations during international expeditions.
